Abstract

Key problem which started up development of the sustainable agriculture concept, especially in high-developed countries, is uncontrolled application of pesticides and mineral fertilizers in conventional agriculture. The problems, caused by excessive use of synthetic chemical means, have been visible long since and it is very anxious. One of the important elements of sustainable agriculture concept is appliance of alternative, but also enough efficient methods of plant protection, and, among others, biological methods are some of them. Biological control by itself is not sufficient to solve the problems of undesirable organisms in crops' existence, but in combination with other methods of sustainable development, it results satisfactorily.

In this paper work we tried to point out to some reasons of actualization and advantages of biological control method, as a new one and, for the environment, harmless method in crops protection.
